Here at The Consec Group we are proud to support the Brighton and Hove Living Wage Campaign and have committed to paying our employees the Real Living Wage – not just the National Minimum Wage.

What is the Real Living Wage?

The ‘Real Living Wage’ is a figure calculated annually, based on the amount a person needs to live to a reasonable standard. This was previously set at £10.90 and has now risen to £12.00 per hour to account for increased cost of living. In London, the rate is enhanced and now stands at£13.15 per hour.

The statutory National Living Wage currently remains at £10.42 per hour.

Why are we supporting the ‘Real Living Wage’ in Brighton?

A spokesperson for The Consec Group said: “One of our key aims is to transform the perception of the security industry. We actively push for higher levels of professionalism, operating standards and customer service.”

“We have dedicated ourselves to providing a career of choice by investing in our staff. This stems from making it a viable job choice by ensuring our pay structure represents our locality. Part of our ethos revolves around fairness and equality so supporting the Living Wage Campaign is very important to us.”
